Meeting the CEO of Indeed 👨

Howdy 👋🏼

One thing that’s changed my life is implementing a “do one thing a day that scares you” policy. 😱

It was put to the test tonight.

Here’s the DL. 👀

I got invited to a fireside chat with the CEO of Indeed, Chris Hyams.

My mission? Speak with him.

I’ve noticed that sometimes I feel fear when I speak with people who have impressiveAF backgrounds (e.g., CEOs of unicorns).

But.. fear is a mile wide and an inch deep.

On the day of the event, I walked in and saw Chris surrounded by a swarm of hungry Founders and HR Leaders eager to speak with him.

I felt my face flush like a bright red tomato, and my hands sweat. 😳

But… I pushed through like Jesus parting the Red Sea. 🌊

And… not only did I speak with him. I also got a pic. 😊

Moral of the story? Get out of your comfort zone.

Speak up when you’re scared to at work, ask for that promotion, or apply for the job even though you only meet 60% of the qualifications (according to Harvard, women only apply when they meet 100%!)
